INGREDIENTS

  • 4 apples (we like honeycrisp) ​
  • 2 tbs cinnamon
  • 8 tbs butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans ​
  • 3 tbs raw honey ​
  • 2 tbs brown sugar ​
  • Caramel topping
  • Vanilla bean ice cream ​

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat grill to 350°F.
  2. Remove core from apples (leaving skin on). ​
  3. Slice apples into 8 sections without cutting all the way through (approx. ​ 3/4 of the way through). ​
  4. Melt butter, cinnamon, and honey together and stir until incorporated well. ​
  5. Wrap each apple with aluminum foil, leaving the top open. ​ Brush apple heavily with butter mixture and seal foil completely around apples. ​
  6. Place wrapped apples on preheated grill, in indirect heat. ​ Cook for 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender when squeezed. ​
  7. Serve in a bowl with ice cream and topped with pecans and caramel.
